Pricing is based on three things: the size of your space, the type of clean (standard, deep, move-out, or commercial), and how often you book. Your free 60-second quote turns those into a clear, flat price up front — with no hidden fees, no hourly surprises, and no charge until you confirm. Recurring plans are billed at a lower per-visit rate, and larger or commercial jobs can start from a quick walkthrough.

Yes. Biweekly and monthly plans are both billed at a reduced per-visit rate compared to a one-time clean — the more often we visit, the lower the price per cleaning. You can start, pause, change frequency, or cancel anytime with no long-term contract, and new customers still get the first-clean discount on their opening visit.

New customers automatically get 20% off their first cleaning on services over $200 — no code needed. Just build your quote through the online form and the discount is applied to your price before you confirm. On recurring plans, the 20% applies to your first visit while your ongoing per-visit rate stays at the plan price. It stacks with recurring savings, and there's no charge until you book.

Credit and debit cards and Cash App through our secure Stripe checkout, Zelle to the tag lumumclean, or cash. You can pay before or after the service — paying before earns a 5% discount. Commercial and post-construction accounts are invoiced on Net-15 terms. All prices already include taxes, and you're never charged until your booking is confirmed.

We bring our own cleaning products — plant-based, low-odor and effective. We do not bring a broom, mop or vacuum, so please have yours available for floor work, or add carpet and floor vacuuming to your booking and we'll bring the vacuum. If you have a preference, a sensitivity, or a surface that needs special care, tell us when you book.

Our standard products are plant-based and low-odor. If you want formulations chosen specifically around pets, add pet-friendly products to your booking and we'll use them throughout. Either way, let us know about your animals when you book so the team can plan the visit around them.

We bring the cleaning products and our own equipment, with one exception: we do not carry a broom, mop or vacuum. Either have yours available, or add carpet and floor vacuuming to your booking and we'll bring a vacuum with us. If you'd prefer we use a specific product you already own, just leave it out and let us know.

Yes — Lumum Cleaning is fully licensed, bonded, and insured. Every cleaner is vetted and background-checked before joining the team, so you can feel comfortable giving us access to your home or business. If anything is ever damaged during a visit, our coverage protects you and we'll make it right.

On recurring plans we work to send the same cleaner or team each visit, so they learn your home and preferences over time. The day before every visit we send you your cleaner's profile — their photo, experience and specialties — so you always know who's arriving. Occasionally schedules or time off mean a substitute steps in, and every cleaner follows the same detailed checklist.

Your cleaning is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If you're not happy with any spot, let us know within 24 hours and we'll return to re-clean it free of charge. To open a claim, email hello@lumumcleaning.com with photos of the problem and we'll sort it out.

We serve the city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs within roughly a 50-mile radius, covering neighborhoods across the North, Northwest, and West sides and nearby communities. No — you don't need to be home. Many clients share entry instructions (a code, lockbox, or key location) and go about their day while we clean. Your access details are stored securely and only used for your service. We'll confirm exactly how we get in and out with you before the first visit.

Plans stay flexible. You can reschedule or cancel a visit at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice. For changes inside that window a small fee may apply, since the time is reserved for you. Recurring plans have no long-term contract — pause or cancel anytime.

It depends on the size and condition of your space and the type of clean. A standard visit for a typical home runs about two to four hours, while a deep clean or move-out can take four to six. Commercial jobs vary by square footage. Your quote reflects the scope, so you know what to expect before we arrive.

No real prep is needed — we clean around everyday life. To get the most from your visit, it helps to pick up loose clutter, secure valuables and important documents, and let us know about any pets or areas you'd like us to focus on or skip. That's it; we handle the rest.
