2. How we use cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum and use them for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary — required for the website and its quote and booking tools to work, to keep your session secure, and to process payments. These can't be switched off.
- Functional — remember your choices, such as your language preference (English or Spanish), so the site behaves the way you expect. On our site this preference is stored in your browser's local storage.
- Performance and analytics — help us understand which pages are visited and how the site performs, so we can improve it. This information is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.
- Advertising and measurement — we use the Meta Pixel to measure how our own ads on Facebook and Instagram perform and to show Lumum Cleaning ads to people who have visited our site. The pixel records activity on our site — such as the pages you view and the buttons you click — together with your IP address, browser details, and a cookie identifier, and sends it to Meta.
We do not sell your data, and we do not display other companies' ads on our website. The only advertising technology on our site is the Meta Pixel described above, which we use to promote our own services.
3. Third-party cookies
Some features rely on trusted third parties that may set their own cookies when you use them:
- Stripe — our payment processor, which uses cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Google — services such as Maps and scheduling may set cookies when those features load. See Google's privacy policy.
- Meta — the Meta Pixel loads on every page and sets cookies (such as _fbp) that Meta uses to measure and deliver our ads on Facebook and Instagram. If you are logged in to a Meta product, Meta may associate your visit with your account. See Meta's privacy policy.
These providers use cookies under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
4. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies or to refuse them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the site — such as booking or payment — to stop working properly.
To limit advertising based on your activity on our site, you can adjust your Meta ad preferences if you have a Facebook or Instagram account, or opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info. Blocking third-party cookies or using a tracker-blocking browser extension also stops the pixel.
Because there is no industry-standard "Do Not Track" signal yet, our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals.
