Post-construction cleaning is a different trade from housekeeping. Fine drywall dust is measured in microns, settles into every surface and cavity in a building, and returns for days after an ordinary clean because it was moved rather than removed. This service is built around that problem: HEPA-filtered vacuums, staged passes with settling time between them, and detail work on the residue a build leaves behind — adhesive, paint flecks, grout haze, and stickers on glass and fixtures. It is priced per square foot and typically runs in two visits for larger projects: a rough clean once the trades are out, and a final detail before handover or move-in.

The process

How it works

Tell us the project
Square footage, what was built, and whether the trades are fully finished. Active sites get re-dirtied, so timing matters more than anything.

Rough clean
Bulk dust and debris removed first. On larger projects this is a separate visit so the remaining dust has time to settle.

Settle and detail
The second pass targets what settled overnight plus the residue work — adhesive, grout haze, stickers, and inside every new fitting.

Handover ready
The space is left photograph-ready. If dust reappears within 24 hours from something we missed, we come back.

How long it takes

Expect roughly a full day per 1,000 square feet for a thorough job, often split across two visits. Post-construction takes about three times as long per square foot as a standard clean, which is why it is priced accordingly. Rushing it guarantees dust returns within a week.

Why does post-construction cleaning cost more than a deep clean?

How soon after the build should we book?

Only once every trade is genuinely finished. A single additional cut or sanding pass re-dusts the whole floor, and you will have paid for a clean you now need again.

Do you do a single visit or two?

Small remodels are usually one visit. Anything over roughly 1,500 square feet is better as two — a rough clean, then a final detail after the airborne dust has settled overnight.

Do you remove construction debris?

We collect and bag the residual debris and rubbish. Large offcuts, materials, and skip loads are the contractor's scope and should be gone before we arrive.
