Airbnb & Short-Term Rental Cleaning in Chicago
- Licensed, bonded & insured
- Plant-based products
- Flat price up front
- 24-hour re-clean guarantee

Short-term rental cleaning is judged by a review score, which makes it a different job from cleaning a home someone already lives in. A turnover has to happen inside a fixed window between checkout and check-in, hit a presentation standard guests photograph, and catch the things that generate one-star reviews: a hair in the bathroom, a previous guest's item in a drawer, an empty toilet roll. Lumum handles Chicago turnovers on a same-day schedule, including linen change and restocking, and reports back anything damaged or missing so you can act before the next guest arrives rather than after they complain.
Who it's for
Airbnb and VRBO hosts, property managers, and short-term rental operators running one unit or twenty who need turnovers that happen on time without being chased.

Pricing
What it costs
Turnovers are priced like a residential clean on the size of the unit, with recurring rates for hosts booking regularly. High-volume operators with multiple units are quoted per property on a monthly invoice.
Studio / 1 bed
One-time $186Biweekly $1592 bed, 1.5 bath
One-time $232Biweekly $1973 bed, 2 bath
One-time $296Biweekly $252
Prices are live estimates from our pricing engine for a typical layout, before your first-clean discount. Your exact price depends on rooms, condition, and add-ons, and is shown up front in the quote — never after the job.
New customers get 20% off the first clean on services over $200.

The process
How it works
- 01
Share your calendar
Send us your booking calendar or add us to it. We schedule turnovers against checkout times, not guesswork.
- 02
Set the standard
Give us your presentation checklist and where supplies live. We work to your setup so every guest sees the same thing.
- 03
Same-day turnover
Clean, linens, restock, and styling inside the checkout-to-check-in window. Ready before the next guest arrives.
- 04
Report back
Photos of anything damaged, missing, or left behind, sent the same day so you can act before the next check-in.
How long it takes
A studio turnover takes about ninety minutes; a two-bedroom, two to three hours. We schedule against your checkout time so the unit is ready with margin before check-in — never finishing at the exact minute a guest is due at the door.
How to prepare
- Keep a stocked supply cupboard on site — linens, towels, paper, and consumables
- Share your booking calendar so turnovers are scheduled, not requested each time
- Leave a written presentation checklist or reference photos of the styled setup
- Tell us your access method — lockbox, smart lock code, or key handover
Frequently asked questions
Can you do same-day turnovers between guests?
Yes — that is the core of this service. Share your booking calendar and we schedule against checkout times so the unit is ready with margin before the next check-in.
Do you handle linens and towels?
Yes. We strip, change, and style beds, and replace towels from your on-site stock. We use on-site machines where available; off-site laundry service is not included.
Will you restock supplies?
We restock from what you keep on site — paper, soap, coffee, and essentials — and tell you when stock is running low. We do not purchase on your behalf unless arranged in advance.
What happens if a guest damaged something?
We photograph it and send it to you the same day, before the next check-in. That timing is what lets you file a claim or fix it rather than discovering it through a review.
Do you work with multiple properties?
Yes. Property managers with several units are scheduled together and invoiced monthly per property rather than per turnover.
How is this different from a regular house clean?
A turnover is scheduled against a booking window, includes linen change and restocking, works to a presentation standard rather than a lived-in one, and reports inventory back to you. A regular clean does none of those.
